looking for something fairly big that can hold more then just camera gear since I'll be using it to take 2-3 day backpacking trips around europe, right now I'm looking at these three, leaning towards the rover plus

around $150 would be nice, but it's not a big deal

gotta be a backpack, I made the mistake of carrying around a shoulder bag all day once, I'll never do that again

it's not nice when your shoulder is hurting after carrying it for hours and hours on end, I'll deal with the inconvenience of taking it off once in a while to get something out of it :o

    yeah, I guess

I used a 7 million all over hawaii, boston, and kansas city..

I used a small backpack for ireland, but would have preferred the 7M :hs:

don't think the adventure 9'll hold it with that much shit, tripod mounts on the bottom against your ass.

i hate travelling with a tripod, i never bring that shit anywhere with me. i can handhold fine or improvise on the scene.

I put my tripod in the bottle holder on the side and one of the straps around the handle on the top on my adventure 7, I couldn't stand the tripod hanging off the bottom :o

even my 7M will hold everything but the tripod.. I'd think any well-designed slr backpack would, too :o
