I have a $150.00 gift card to Target. I would like to combine that with approximately $100.00 cash to get a decent point & shoot digital camera.

I understand Target is not usually a place you might recommend for this, but given the gift card, that's really what I want to do with it.

Here is a link to their selection: http://www.target.com/gp/browse.html/ref=nav_t_spc_10_2/?node=1042096

I am asking for the power of OT camera gurus to lend me a hand. I would like it to be very portable, but I want to get good picture quality. My previous camera was a Canon SD 4mpx and I was extremely happy with it until I broke the LCD. I would like higher resolution, however.

So, I will be purchasing this tonight, and any suggestions you can make would be appreciated.

I got the PowerShot SD750 on sale for $224.95, minus the $150.00 gift card I really paid only $74.95. The battery is charging as I type this. I also picked up a Lexar Platinum II 4GB SD card for $49.99.

A little late but the SD850IS is an awesome little point and shoot. The IS is well worth the extra money.

I did ask about the IS, but the only IS model they had was like a DSLR.

I assumed the camera's you listed were your choice, the 850IS is listed for $299.

Yea they have it on their website, but the local store did not have any on display or in stock for purchase. So I was limited to what was actually at the store.
