This is kind of freaking me out!

The charger light and the status is alternating from "charged" to "charging". And the green light turns orange then back again, repeating!

I've already tried to reset the SMC and it didn't help. I'm afraid this thing is going to explode in me sleep :wtc:
I tried draining out the battery then charging it back up again.... no help.

    Any ideas? :sadwavey:

i believe that means your AC adapter is on its way out. my sister had the same issue and she needed a new one. i would look into getting it looked at by someone at an apple store

    Its pretty consistant.

Snap! The nearest Apple store is like 120 miles away!

Do you think the charger for a MacBook Pro would work? I never mixed the two because they have different specifications.

what laptop are you using? that wasn't really mentioned. if you have a macbook, then i believe the AC adapters output more watts than a macbook one, however it might still work (i dont know for sure though... i know nothing about electricity :o), but if you have an ibook or powerbook, then no. they arent the same at all.

That's weird. Do you get good battery life? Maybe it's the battery?

As far as I can tell, there wasn't a recall on the MacBook's battery.

I'm waiting on my friends battery though, ill see whats up.
