I am trying to install SimCity 2000 for shits and giggles.

The problem is when I try to install the game I get an error.

It says something to the extent of:

Not enough memory to run program. Please exit some programs and try again.

Please help, my computer can run css, doom3, and others pretty easily so this game shouldn't be a problem.

    Thanks

You have too much memory installed.

Older 16-bit apps like SC2K have issues with newer machines due to that.

Removing a few memory modules may help. Personally I'd invest in an older machine, though...I have an AMD X5-120MHz/16MB/PC-DOS 7.0/Windows 3.1 machine for software like that.

It has SC2K loaded with no issues, as well as Kid Pix Studio Deluxe, and a ton of DOS classics like Halloween Harry, Major Stryker, and Descent loaded on.
