My car is jerking sometimes when stop at stop sign or light. It doesnt do it everytime. Just started this morning. Car has 79600 miles. Boss at work said it might have something to do with the transmission or transmission fluid, my dad said something about engine being out of balance. Thanks for the help.

Definitely sounds like a transmission problem. The first thing to do would be to check the trans fluid level (refer to your owner's manual if you don't know where the dipstick is located). Check it while the car is fully warmed up and running and on level ground.

Besides that there is not much you can do but take it to a transmission specialist. Automatics are extremely complicated beasts. It might need to be rebuilt entirely.

I had something similar... but not to the extreme. I changed out the filter and fluid. It made it all better.

Sounds like the Torque converter is slipping... Hows it accelerate when you are really on it?

I would try it first. But make sure that you ONLY use Nissian fluid. Good luck.
