Help getting ipod to work under linux

    I am running suse 10.0 and i just got a 30 gig video... obviously there is no itunes, can somebody help me out here... what do i have to do?

    yeah I've been trying to install gtkpod for a day or so now and I can fucking seem to do it.. too many dependencies that i dont have.



    I swear dependencies make me want to go back to windows.

    That's because your using SuSE and SuSE is RPM based. RPM is the worst fucking package management system in the world. Even Windows's lack of package management is better than that shit. Get a Debian-based distro like Ubuntu, or something with emerge/ports like Gentoo or FreeBSD. Debian package management is the shit.

    I'm downloading ubuntu now.. the download keeps crashing at 50%... its like suse knows I'm trying to change systems

    Are you getting it via torrent? I don't remember ever having trouble with the Ubuntu torrents.
