Ok I need some help. When I take a shower, I scrub a dub dub and all that, and all is well, except for my armpits, they still stink, is there something Im not catching here or what?

What kind of soap/body wash are you using? Are you using a loofa or washcloth, or just your hands?

Perspiration itself is not the culprit here. It is actually odorless. But when it doesn't recieve oxygen, it forms bacteria. That is where the odor comes from.

    Heres a tip:

Try using a mild solution of hydrogen peroxide (3%) that is cheap and can be picked up at the pharmacy. Put a teaspoonful in a glass of water and wash the underarm. If that doesn't work, increase the amount of peroxide.

Also, try taking steam baths or saunas frequently as part of an overall detoxification program.

I use Michum (the Gel) Old spice seems to react with me and before you know it, everything within a 5 block radius smells like hot old spice. Michum seems to be a mirache deoderant.

    :werd:

I'd say use rubbing alcohol instead. That should kill any bacteria.

It won't make it blonde if it's diluted with so much water. Rubbing Alcohol could cause a iritation.

...I've never understood the whole 'bar soap+hand=clean' thing (unless at a gym, as a quick wash). But that's just me. :ugh2:

    what do you do then?

I rub the soap bar against my armpit and wash the soap away, I don't have any problems with that method.

The oxygen peroxyde method is actually good, you can also try putting some lemon and baking soda paste, that is known to be good for smelly feet. Additionally you should try more anti-perspirants and less deodorants,

kill the source don't mask it.

Well, when I was but a wee lad, my mummy introduced me to a washcloth. As I became gayer, I learned about natural sponges, and have not looked back since. And I've never had any issues with body funk. But that's just me... ;)

    1) Use a washclothe or other similar item (loofa, sponge, whatever).

    2) Make sure you're using un-scented, hypo-allergenic soap. Your body could be reacting to the perfume in the soap.

    3) Try a different brand of deoderant - Mitchum is a popular solution that works well for people. I've been using Axe lately, and been pretty happy with it - it keeps me dry and has a pleasing scent (saves me the expense of cologne). I've also had good experience with Gillette.

    4) Make sure the deoderant you're using is an anti-persperant as well - if the stick doesn't say it's anti-persperant, it's not.
