I am using my IPOD for the first time and I have both a PC & Laptop. I installed all the software on my PC but all my MP3s are on my laptop.

Is there a way to just copy & paste MP3s from the laptop to the Ipod or do I have to install itunes.

When I connected the Ipod it shows as drive E: so I just copy/pasted the mp3s into the E: drive but I dont see them on the Ipod itself, unless im looking in the wrong area.

    Help would be appreciated. Thanks

With the Apple firmware, you have to use a program like iTunes or Anapod Explorer to put the files in the proper directory and update the database file on the iPod. You can't just drag and drop the files on the iPod and have them play.
