so-dimm and 200 pin are things that describe the size of the ram. sdram is the type of ram, and as far as i know, if it says it's ddr then it's also sdram.

I think I've got some from my 17" if it's the same. Had 512 in it and went with 2 1 Gig chips, let me see what exactly it is when I get home and I'll post it if your interested.

Okay...So I have an iBook with the 256 standard...

My question is this...should I pay for a Gig stick, or just get a 512 stick for a total of 768...

Would that 300+ ram difference make a huge difference? I only want to know because any money saved I can use to buy tiger "$60 bucks through student discount"

Also, I am looking at Kingston, Corsair, and Crucial....I really like Kingston because I use it in all my PC's....but not too sure about labtops/Macs...Anybody tried them all out..or got specs that are of use?

    Thanks guys....

"trying to find this out through google...but just incase anybody can answer it :) "

2nd day air plus lifetime warranties and ALL shipping paid by them if the memory goes bad. I've had nothing but good experiences with these guys in the nearly 6 years I've done business with them, both at work and at home.

I am getting ready to buy my ram...I really like kingston, because I run that in my PC here at home....so I am going for a gig...

    My question is this...

at that datamen website, when looking from ram under the apple computer "ibook" the ram they list to buy, is that from apple, or what company makes that?

Also, anybody suggest different ram? Just wanting to get the best for an apple...IMO, Kingston is hard to beat for PC's.
