I'm going to be installing a head unit in a 76' corvette. The original unit has been out for a while so i'm going into this blind so to speak. Does anyone have stereo wiring color codes or a wiring diagram for this year vette?

    any help would be appreciated.

Personally, I'd run new power and ground wires and tapping the ignition wire shouldnt be hard to figure out if you look at the iginition switch.

if you do use the factory constant (which is probably orange), upgrade the factory fuse..

unless it had a digital stereo, i don't think it will have a constant... which i doubt it did, since this is a 76 vette.
