    Painting a helmet?

ok...so my uncle wants me to design and paint a helmet for him and possibly his team's rider

only thing is that I've never painted a helmet before(I have art skills...just never done helmets).

so my question...what the hell type of supplies do I use to make a professional product? I've searched online but couldn't find any exact answers :dunno:

He is a part owner/head mechanic of an AMA Superbike team so everyone is going to be looking at this helmet.....so I need to make this thing super high quality.

    planning on airbrushing it...

but what type of paint can I use that'll look good and make a professional helmet?

I've never tried using any type of paint other than just regular crap I get at the art store and that doesn't seem to be the best quality stuff to make a helmet :dunno:

Make sure you use the right sorta paint so you don't compromise the integrity of the shell. Last thing you want is a bung helmet in an accident.

that's what I'm asking...because I'm not sure what type of paint to use...

I found some paint by House of Kolor...and heard it works well, so I think I'm going that route.

obviously no one on OT knows, or wants to help...so I guess I have a lot of phone calls to make :hs:

Let me know what you find out because I have been wanting to do some work on my helmet but I have an old helmet that I can play with before doing it to my new helmet.
