Funny thing about this is …while I was 40 minutes into editing it . I thought to myself "oh hey, I better save this incase nuclear holocaust beaks out or photoshop freezes". Come to find out trying to save a 5200x resolution .psd file does not compute while running 3 other adobe apps .

Computer crashed and I had to restart from scratch . Good night let me tell you about itsss . :greddy:

That's pretty badass. However, IMO, the black finish looks a little washed out.

Still, kudos on the picture tho. Better than I can take.

I thought it made the car look greasy, especially at the bottom.

while they could be, I think he just 'works above ambient'.
it's a little tricky to get the hang of the idea at first, but it's pretty cool once you hook it up. especially if you're slack like me and hate editing shit in post.

basically you underexpose for the sky/etc a little and light your main subject with strobes. you control the ambient exposure mostly with shutter speed and the strobe exposure with the aperture. most times you'd want the lowest iso possible, but as always will vary from scene to scene.

I remember a thread saying that clouds, skylines, etc had been photoshopped in. I don't care how he does it, the finished products always look amazing. :bigthumb:
