Put in my application in May. Detroit is usually a 4 or 5 month process to get a permit so this came as a HUGE surprise in the mail today.

Now to buy that holster I was putting off because I figured I wouldn't need it until October. MTAC is the plan, unless someone can give me a reason why not to go with it.

CTAC is great if you have to unholster/reholster

From Comp-Tac's site, it appears that the c-clip setup is the most friendly on a standard, sturdy belt. Would this be a safe assumption?

    MI CPL Crew checking in.

I'm not posting my permit though... I made sure I gave them "crazy eyes" in the photo I submitted.

Took mine about 2 months I think.

Everyone says I should have made the domestic terrorist face, but I figured my app would be processed faster with a smiling white boy on it. :mamoru:

congrats on getting your permit. i feel that everyone should have one of those. luckily in VA it only takes about 3 business days to get. i applied on my 21st birthday, which was actually 5 years ago today, and got it two days later. :) it BS that it takes ya'll so long.

I was told it was because then it would be considered an ID and AZ doesn't want that. They want you to have separate ID with your CCW. My utah one has a pic on it though.

So can you carry rifles in 'pistol free zones?'

The way they wrote the laws a CPL holder can OPEN carry in "pistol free zone", but not conceal. If you don't have a CPL you can't do either. Legislative logic at its finest.
