Height of hips during deadlift

    How low should my hips be when I begin my pull? Should my thighs be parallel to the floor?

    Side note: I'm on christophers' routine and I notice that my shoulders get twice as sore from the Monday workout (squat/deadlift/bench/incline) than the Wednesday workout (GM/lunges/should press/pullups/dips).

    Parallel is a little too low, you want to be at least a little above.

    And the same thing happens to me. Going 2x12 fatigues me way more than the 5x5 should presses.
