I'm glad I bought it. I am playing through it now and loving it...and there are a lot of things I could have done differently so I'm already planning to play it again.

I guess there are 22 endings to the game and I've heard that you can just play the end parts to get the different endings, but I think getting to all of them will require difference decisions throughout the game so I'm not sure that's accurate.

It's supposedly a 9-10 hour story, and its a great one. I played 5 straight hours and I dont normally do that.

It's mostly a decision making game and pretty linear though...so there won't be places you missed and places to explore more a second time through...you'll go to all the same places, you'll just be able to do things differently by making different decisions.

If you find value in owning a game based on these things then buy it, if you only play through games one time then rent it...because you'll get through it within a rental time frame and it's going to be a very similar experience each time you play. I want to see the different paths I could have done, that has me interested otherwise i'd be done with it after 1 play through.

Sounds like an AWESOME rental to me from what other OTers have said. Great game, just on the short side...but that's about how most games are now-a-days.

it really depends are you OCD do you play games till you completely beat them. the main story is about 8hrs long but getting all the trophies and seeing all the endings could bring you around 12hrs+

I personally think it's worth the buy, especially if you ever have friends that come over and wanna play. They may make decisions differently.

I had a friend watch me play UC2 and he couldn't stop watching cause he was so enthralled in the story. This game IMO is the same.

I am under the impression that Heavy Rain is a MUST BUY.

Hell, even my Father wants it. The guy is threatening to purchase a PS3 just because he likes what he has read about Best Buy.

    Hehehehe...

    Soon to come:
Stilgars thread entitled 'How I got a free PS3 from my stupid Dad'.

I suppose reading the huge thread on it was too much to ask?

Seriously though, I don't regret buying it but I do hope there's a lot of DLC for it.

It's about 8-10 hours per play so you're looking at 40-50 hours for multiple playthroughs. Once you hit that point it's pretty easy to go back to individual chapters to clean up any trophies you may have missed.

    Buy it!

I don't play hours at a time so it's definitely making the experience last longer!

I've already made choices that I want to go back on so I KNOW there are many playthroughs still ahead.

We've been pretty good about not posting spoilers in it amazingly.

We seriously need tags back though.

Definitely buy it. 22 different endings, there's different death scenes, different scenes for your choices, excellent DLC potential. It's probably the best game I've played, story wise.

This post sums up the game excellently. DLC is something I'm praying for.
