Heavy Rain is one of those games that once finished, leave an indelible mark in the hearts of gamers. The kind of game that, once the controller asked, thinking. A real game mature shows that the video game, not a bunch of big guys full of testosterone that kills aliens or a mustached plumber. Thank you, David Cage. Thank you to the team of Quantic Dream. And pity those who completely miss this unique title.

    From JVN. 9.5/10

    Quote:
    Pros :
    - Deep Sensitivity
    - A masterful art direction
    - Subjects never seen before in videogames

    Cons :
    - Some moves are a little stiff
    - Other games will be insipid (hard to move on another game after that)

    GamesMaster - 91%

my guess is that it's going to be a love it or hate it game, kind of like demon's souls. Keeping my hopes up though.

Originally i was thinking I would definitely buy this game but i'm having second thoughts. It's obviously going to be an incredible experience but what kind of replay value will it provide?

I think choices make the game finish differently, thought I read there was like 6 dif. endings depending on your choices

Honestly, I don't even read reviews anymore. Too many of them are 'bought', and we've had far too many examples of that shit in the past for them to have any credibility left.

It looks interesting enough that I'll be playing it though.

Because reviews from IGN and Gamespot have that much more credibility? Or are even better written? Reliable?

I see them more credible than sites who are bribed to give good reviews (GS, IGN, etc)

Oh wow, I thought I heard that the initial thoughts from people who had the chance to play it werent good - this sure sounds like people are digging it. I havent been following what this was all about but just did a little reading and it sounds like it's going to have an amazing story...if the game is fun to play, I'm going to like this one! Kinda stoked on it now - didnt care an hour ago.

Most of the little gaming reviews sites are probably more legit than IGN/GameSpot. Who's going to to pay a little game site for a good review that people won't see?

I saw GamerMaster in there, and I've read that mag since I was a little kid so I trust them.
