What makes good, healthy snack food?

All I can think of is fruits.

Problem is, i dont have much time to sit down and eat full meals. My "meals" throughout the day usually include a chicken breast twice a day, sometimes i dice up half a chicken breast into a salad with guac, tomatoes and corn.

what can i eat in between those when i get hungry?

    Walnuts?

    Almonds?

If you have trouble squeezing meals in you can always make a MRP

    Meal Replacement..search F & N for good 500-1000 calorie MRP shakes.

Something like Walnuts are good no matter how many you eat, tbh, because of the omega 3 fatty acids in them. Eat untill you don't want to eat any more and are full...it's what most people do :dunno:

But I suppose if you want to limit your intake you're gunno need to learn self dicipline or just not snack at all

    yeah, but very expensive.

and i really want to limit how much i eat. i work out almost every day, doing eliptical for about 30 min (dont have much time for anything longer) which burns an estimated ~350 calories. so i dont want to eat too much, since i am trying to slim down.

Regular food, just smaller portions :o

String cheese is good, pre-packaged for you; what's your day like? Can you take stuff in a cooler, is there a fridge?

Elliptical for 30 minutes really isn't burning 350 calories; the calorie countesr on those machines are crap. Don't worry about it, do your 30 minutes; just don't rely on them for accuracy. What do you weigh currently? Are you lifting ?

i read rice cakes were actualy bad when trying for weight loss.

    website with it

    "Rice cakes
They might be low in fat and calories, but rice cakes won't help you lose weight because they have a high glycaemic index (GI).
This means they cause a rapid but short-lived rise in blood sugar, which leaves us quickly feeling hungry again.
To avoid the constant munchies, swap them for those with a low GI value such as oatcakes or wholegrain bread, which slowly release sugar into the blood, leaving you less likely to binge."

I weigh slightly too much :o

215 (i dont know my BF %, but i have the gut and bitch tits to gow ith the 215 :o) I am trying to get down to ~180-190

i do lift, but not as often as i wish. After Aug 8 (last day at work) i plan on hitting the gym and lifting every day.

I have been cutting my intake to ~1500 cal/day, or doing my best to anyway.

I don't really like tuna but what i do is just eat out of the can. I get a lot of tuna in my mouth and then drink water with it still in my mouth and just swallow the tuna really quick. I can eat a can of tuna in like 1 minute now.

down here they sell these pre-washed individual packages of peadpods/snap peas that u just put in the microwave (in the bag) and then eat em or u can just eat them raw

whole package is like 70 calories and they take a while to eat
