What are some ideas for healthy lunches to make for taking to work?
grill chicken and a baked potato, then microwave it maybe? i saw ronnie coleman do it
tuna + rice + ketchup + mix = teh bomb
goood olll chicken
Say one was trying to lower his caloric intake, would tuna still be a good idea?
But chicken for lunch every day gets old
if it's good enuff for ronnie its good enuff for me. i just gotta pick up some kc masterpiece and i'll be good to go. (been using sweet baby rays)
Take about 10 chicken breasts and 4 or 5 baked taters with you and you'll have a Ronnie-worthy meal.
Don't forget the Masterpiece of course.
6-8oz chicken breast. 1/2-1 cup of vegetables and 1/4 any kind of nuts. Brind 4 of those if you work 8 hours.
I'm addicted to cocks in my mouth.
i usually take baked chicken or tuna and brown rice or veggies... any combo of those
Forget Masterpiece, Sweet Baby Ray's is the way to go. Also ideas: PBJ, chili, a protien shake, protien bar, tuna pouches, sandwhiches.
oh, protein shakes,
i keep a shaker, bag of protein and tub of WPI at my desk
if you can keep things in the fridge, i'd probably be eating a lot of salmon and zucchini. i think salmon is often better as cold left-overs. it can be had for cheap, and is of course quite healthy. damn, now I really want a left-over salmon filet.
Every day for work I bring a combo of things, and eat a little every break. I get 5 breaks a day:
2 light yogurts
a bag of unsalted nuts (usally almonds, cashews, peanuts, or pistashios)
Instant weight control oatmeal
Protien bar or shake of some kind
baked chicken breast
I dont bring all these every day exept 2 lite yogurts. I mix and match 4-6 items.
Before work I load up on a double protein shake, a peice of fruit, and either oatmeal or a healthy cerial of some kind with my omega fat supplements and other daily supplements. When I get home, the wife usally has baked chicken and steamed green veggies cooked almost every day of the week. Since Ive been bulking, at night I might have another shake and a harty helping of peanut butter.
I have my own fridge in my office
Today I brought chicken & brocolli, but it kind of taste bland.
I should mention, I'm trying to lose weight, not bulk
hot sauce is your friend
how was the chicken cooked? what about the broccoli?
you could also try salad dressing
Brocolli was boiled, chicken was cooked on the george forman grill
try different seasonings on the chicken... and i hate boiled broccoli... steamed with pepper >>>> boiled
but seriously... hot sauce, italian salad dressing/vinegrette (sp?), and barbecue sauce are your friends
if you don't want to eat what you brought for lunch, there's a greater chance you'll stray from your diet often
I wish I could make my chicken more moist. Foreman grill dries it out.
I've been eating chicken breasts for the past week or so, about 2-3 times a day. Really gets old
I feel ur pain
2pts brown rice
1part black beans (whole, not canned)
1part red beans (same as above)
1 can (8oz) of chicken breast
Sunday night, I make up a huge slew of this stuff, pack it in individual tupperware containers and then just grab two or three of them on my way out the door in the morning.
Something about eating beans and rice together makes for more complete amino acids and nutrients. Or something. I'm sure a lot of people know what I'm talking about, even though I don't
edit: I throw in a couple cloves of garlic, ground pepper, and Tony Cachere's when the beans and rice are cooking.
didn't see this post sorry.
