I have an iPod mini and use it while bike riding. I want to get some better headphones for it that eliminate outside noise. Should I look into the earbud style headphones? Can anyone reccomend some models? I have heard some good things about the Sony MDR-EX71 headphones. Those sell for around $40 on eBay. I want to stay around that price range and they have to be small headphones.

I have bose triports and love them. My ONLY problem is that they have broken on me twice, both times in the same spot. Bose has replaced them, but its a hassle that I probably would go through again.

Sorry to bump this thread since it's so old...

Has anyone noticed any kind of difference difference between any earbuds < $80 and the $80 shure 32c's can can be found on ebay?

My feeling is that earbuds around 20bux are a as good as ear buds around $40. And the shures are pretty much the next step up.

There's some really cheap ones at Koss.

I would get the KSC55 for only 20 bucks
    Or the Sporta Pro.

I used to have the ksc somethings, they did sound decent and good bass, but no where near the detail of my sony v6's. I'm looking for something at that level or better. I haven't actually heard the e2c 's but I'm assuing since they're expensive it must be good j/k

Im looking for a good set of headphones. Be it ear buds or wraparounds. Seems the earbuds I got with my iPod hurt like hell after an extended period of time, same with my big stereo headphones. Whats a good sounding comfortable set of headphones? Examples in different sizes would be apprecated. :)
