Hey everybody--new to the group here and I was looking around and realized that you all might be able to help me out with this.

Is there any place I can go to OR a book I can read that tells me all of the header files for the MSDEV compiler? If it has both C and C++ that's good. I'm wanting to know exactly what all is in there.

    Thanks for your help.

you can always just go browse the header files, they're under your Visual Studio installation folder...

i'm not sure if this book explains ALL of the VC++ header files, but it helped me learn in college. The author explains things very clearly, and it's actually an enjoyable read as well...

Seems like a good read. From what I can tell of the description it only covers C++. Does it cover C and if not do you have a recommendation for a book like this one that does?

    Thanks again.

I forgot: When I say header files I don't mean the ones that come with MSDEV, I mean when you're coding something in C++, you'd use C++ headers and with C you'd use C headers. I re-read my reply and thought that what I was saying the first time was inaccurate.

Yep, all those and the ones used for C, like stdio.h, math.h and string.h.

If you want to actually know how to use them, get a book. There are lots of books out there that cover that, as it is basic C/C++ knowledge.
