I've been out of the car audio game for a while now but I could swear I saw somewhere they now make mp3 heads units that will read a dvd-r data disc. Anyone know who makes it? Hopefully its alpine or pioneer and XM ready :x:

Dvd mp3? If you want that much storage space, I'd just hook up your mp3 player to the aux input of an alpine or pioneer premier unit. Much more convenient (in my mind) than having to burn DVD's.
