How come, any tangible reason why?

Sony was my first car radio and it worked very well, this one looks pretty good. Not being an ass, just asking

The best thing sony makes are the headunits. The lower models have a problem with the (up/down) switch. CD mech detecting load unload. The upper models have a few problems but are more minor. The amps have been very problematic. Lots of blown outputs on all models including class D's. A few are having problems with faulty connections as well. Sony speakers mediocre as well.
That head unit is a nice model and is a good by at 250 IMO.
But I would recommend a Pionner or Kenwood head if your not dead set on Sony.
