I hope this is the right forum for this :x:

Would it be possible to view HDTV on a regular CRT computer monitor?

are there any adapters I would need?

Yeah, you will want to get a decent antenna. That should be all you need to recieve over the air broadcasts :bigthumb:

I dont know what tv transmission is like in the states, but I have a poxy little AU$60 aerial from Dick Smith (radio shack?) and I'm in a poor area for reception... it works pretty well... but a rooftop aerial would work better (wiring it up soon)

Here... HDTV comes in 1080i mainly, but you can get it in 720p as well... 1080i is like 1920x1088 or something similar... I'm not sure about 720p...

It looks great on a CRT, but unless you can crank out uber high resolutions, it wont be running at full size... it will resize to fit your screen resolution...

yep, forgot the n. In most cases, an indoor antenna will not work unless you are close to the broadcasting tower. Good luck though
