Girl I am dating is getting a Sony HDTV on saturday. She has a Motorola cable box that the cable company told her was HDTV ready. What type of cables should she buy to get the best picture?

If the cable box has component picture I assume that is the best??

    Thanks!

Component or DVI to HDMI. Look in the back of the cable box to see what connections it has...

Also make sure if she is actually paying for the HD package. With Time Warner, it's only $5 extra a month. You can either do that or get an HD antenna.

component or DVI. It varies with your TV

some TV have better performance thru component, some thru DVD/HDMI

buy both and do a blind test

They sucked you into the marketing scheme too huh?

    www.monstergreed.com

Then return those cables and go with my non-marked up hyped cables.

My cables do 1.0-1.3 420-1080i-p etc. I have a 50 inch DLP sitting at home using my 6FT Cable.. and I'm the guy that always has to have the best.

I never understood how a cable could cost almost $100. Now it makes sense.

No. Knukonceptz is an excellent mix fo price and quality... WITHOUT hype.

I'm a member of the AAMC (Americans Against Monster Cable).

Want to get into real hype, try to talk to the ELITE Home Audio crowd. The ones that spend THOUSANDS, sometimes TENS OF THOUSANDS of dollars on speaker wires alone... much less interconnects... power cables...video cables... etc, etc, etc...

I'll stick with Knukonceptz. I know the owner, based out of Ohio, excellent service.

My cables are the EXACT same as monoprice sells.

We are cheaper and ship the same day - we even pricematch.
