Hdtv $500

    looking to spend about $500 on a flat panel hdtv. no tuner needed. bigger the better. any suggestions?

    500 wont get something very big

    you are looking at the 30s or large 20s

    if i were you id save some money and drop 1500

    You want to display 720p with the best brightness and contrast ratio you can find. Olivea, I think, is the brand. Might need 1k to get there.

    Stay far far away from Olevia!!!!

    Save up your money and buy something around 40" or above. Once you get the tv home and hook it up, it somehow looks smaller. So bigger is better.

    why??? you're the first person i've heard say something negative about them... my bosses son has one, and has nothing but good to say about it... and he researched for awhile, before he bought it.

    Insane value from the Olivia brand. Their screens are top-notch. Warranty returns are very low.

    I think that guy above is just talking smack.

    Nope not talking smack. They have been know to have a problem with lcd smear, ghosting problems, poor backlighting, exc....
