Considering trying to find a low-mileage Turbo :dunno: I'd consider the non-turbo though, I'm told dropping a V6 in it isn't too hard and there's minimal weight penalty compared to a Turbo.

    low mileage one? good luck

even if you do find one, the guy will charge you an arm and a leg. And if you plan to swap in a motor anyways...buy a shell in the first place.

Well, the lower the miles, the lower the chance I'm going to need to change the entire suspension, transmission, etc et etc

Not to mention interior condition. THe less work I have to do in there, the better.

well sure sounds like you are looking for a project car...so might as well save the money and start out fresh.

So suspension will get changed anyways
Same for the motor/tranny(since you'll probably go JDM)

as far as interior..the only difference between a 200K car and a 100K car, are the rips in the seats

Not to mention the condition of the carpeting, etc.

The seats will probably have to be changed just due to my size (with a car that size I have little doubt I'm going to need custom seat rails at the minimum)

Beyond that though I'm not really looking for a project car, but I guess it's possible.

I have a 91 na in excellent condition except for the paint (red ones didn't have clearcoat so it got watermarked really easily) with just under 70k miles for sale. :x:

If you are going to do a V6 swap might as well get a NA car. Cheaper and easier to find.

Yeah. I'd prefer to get the turbo, but if I can't, I'll do the swap. I just don't want a weak NA I4

You will need at least $10k to find a nice unmolested turbo car

Turbos are better starting platforms for the V6 swaps as well.

There's SC options for the V6s that'll net you around 400 rwhp.

There was a SC V6 car that won SCC's USCC a couple years back.

They're more planted than FR cars right until the limit, just harder to recover once the oversteer starts.

Yeah, btu if I can get the turbo, I won't need the V6. I don't need a shitload of power, but the NA 4 is pretty.... well, weak.
