I'm new to the subforum. I've lurked in OT for awhile, and I've been a bit more active lately.

I figured I'd come check out Teh Barracks.

I'm in the Air Force Reserve (currently on Active Duty) Actually, I've done more time on Active Duty than I have being a traditional reservist. I'm a loadmaster and I'm a Tech Seargent :wavey:

Welcome. Do Reserves get jerked around more than Active Duty when it comes to benefits and pay? I would imagine so having to go from a civilian life-style to Active Duty virtually overnight, but I don't know anyone personally in the reserves.

Not at all, actually. I make more than an Active Duty E-6. Hell, I make more than an Active Duty E-7 in my shop.

Life is good as a reservist on orders, lemme tell you :)

I get all the same benefits, including the 100% TA which I am taking full advantage of at this point.

    :wavey: I take it you're a crew chief...on 10's?

Lucky Bastard....I used to be a 2A551J on Freddie. Then I saw the light. The ops side of the house is so much better.
