    i went from 195 - 200 in 2006

to slim and cut 165 in 2008

workin to lose another 5 pounds so more of my abs can be seen

the way i did it: low carb diet. basically a well balanced breakfast with carbs, salad with olive oil dressing + chicken/ other various meats for lunch maybe little side of rice but no carbs for dinner. no eating after 7 pm (bed time varied between 10 - 12). . i dont suggest u try it, but i know my body and it works for me. im keeping slim by eating small meals, and various nuts in between meals. i rarely take any supplements, i find that all they do is make me shit out water :hs:

then again im open for suggestions on how to achieve a more cut waist line, other than slimming down and doing more reps of abs as my workout regimen. so far i was doing abs once a week, i think im going to try twice a week now. also i am going to try going on a boiled chicken + salad diet all week.

on another note: the hardest thing for me was fighting temptation, but after a couple of months on the diet, you look at junk food a whole new other way. then it is smooth sailling from that point on. pounds were droppin really fast, and i to be honest with you im not a gym know-it-all, but i know-it-all when it comes to my body. my workout regimen would be :rofl:ed at by most of you gym nazi's but :fawkd: i think u guys spend too much time thinkin about achieving the body with all these supplements and schedules that you neglect what your body actually needs to achieve your ideal body.

i didnt go to failure, or do HIT but i did do cardio, like 3 times a week, and then did workouts that actually kept my muscles on their toes, i kept them from losing mass, and didnt gain any muscle because i did not go to failure.

you kept your muscles on their toes so they wouldn't atrophy and you didn't gain size because you didn't go to failure.. . OOH BOY:ugh:

    Good job.

Going to failure doesnt make your muscles grow, eating over maintainence does.

Nice job man. There is a huge improvement there.

I wouldn't criticize the way others here do their thing though. Truth is, you look good (especially compared to your before pic) but you're still skinny and lacking a good amount of muscle. If you ever wanted to stay that lean but hit a more muscular weight like 185-195 you would need supplements and a more strict training regimine.

I dont think you need suppliments to hit a weight like that. Maybe whey, but thats about it. Now a strict training regiment is a whole other story...

Yeah, they're not necessary if your training and diet are perfectly on key, but they certainly help.

What supplements would you recommend? I've never used anything other than whey and creatine...and the later didnt even seem to do much.

    Whey, fish oils, multi-vitamin

Creatine if you want -- don't get fancy, cheapest creatine monohydrate or PureCEE is fine.

Other stuff isn't important any typical lifter.

hey all thanks for ur feedback

i was eating: banana + sometimes blueberries / strawberries with 2 servings of kellogs corn flakes on most days (because i had to rush to work)

other days i would eat 3 eggs + smoked turkey with 2 pieces of bread wash it down with OJ.

almost 100% of the time i ate chicken thigh + salad (no tomatoes) :bigthumb:

    thanks a lot

im 5'10 and yes along with the weight loss i've noticed a little bit of muscle loss but very little. im sure low carb diet is bound to make u lose some type of muscle mass but if anything im looking to gain a little bit of lean mass but that will take a bit of long term investing.

    hey babe
