I dropped my class A jacket off for some tailoring to get my top to hang better - broad shoulders + crappy fit = I look fat, and there were 2 areas it was hanging very strange.

Anyway... Does anyone take their top/shirt to have it taken in to fit better? I'm always trying to keep the excess shirt in using a fold/tuck technique and my shirt/sock blousing strap things, but it only lasts so long.

if you haven't bought the $30ish dollar shirts, you should - the material is much nicer and i've found the fit better.

other than that, i honestly haven't worn blues in about year, so i wouldn't know what to tell you.

I only have the el-cheapo shirts. I have yet to determine what my main UOD will be - unless someone knows anyone at Scott AFB, AMC Communications Squadron and know what they wear :hs:

From there, I'll pickup what uniform items I need most of

My shirts fit just fine, not that I ever really have to wear them.

I may get one BDU top done but other than that it just doesn't work with my job.

Have them fitted. Nothing worse than seen an Officer look like shit in their uniform. As a Officer you should strive to exceed the standards because you will expect the same from your enlisted troops.

I agree, It bothers me when I see Senior NCO's and officers who's uniforms look like crap.

Thanks for the input guys. I think I'll get my shirts taylored as well. I'll have to look into getting my BDU's tailored.

I always thought that it was against reg's to alter the BDU's by having them tailored, :dunno:

Its also against regs to look like you rolled out of bed, no? :noes: I was wondering on the technicalities of that myself and why I mentioned I'd have to look into it.

    Thanks for the tips Inforpics:bigthumb:
