I have an HP DV6000 lap top. It has Vista on it.

Lately its been waking up from sleep mode during the middle of the night.

    How can I fix this?

Second, its been freezing as well. I walked away from the computer for about 15 minutes while it was running out of sleep mode with the screen on and come back and its frozen.

    What could be causing this?

Its really annoying me here. I'm about 2 seconds away from drop kicking my lap top. So god damn frustrating sometimes.

Any help would be great. I'm not a computer wiz, so I don't know what to do.

Thanks for your help in advance.

I've seen that issue before, but I never bothered to look into it anymore. I agree with the above though, check for updated drivers.

    Hibernate > Sleep IMO.

It seems like the automatic updates would try to update around 3am or something but would fail possibly making the computer either freeze or wake it up and just leaving the computer on rather than sleeping.

I ran the updates manually and haven't had any problems.
