I have a new 2.8 HP computer and also a new IBM T-40 laptop. I am using a Belkin 4 port switch. When I am using my PC then switch to my lap top the mouse isn't working. I inplug the mouse and put it back in and it works fine.

This also did it using my old 2.4 PC and my old T-23 laptop. On my current setup I even installed the lastest and greatest mouse drivers. There is no software or drivers for the Belkin switch. Any ideas?

By switch do you mean USB hub?

I have had weird problems that seemed to defy logic - turned out to be a 4-port USB hub. Seemed to work fine most of the time, sometimes it would act weird and sometimes cause a BSOD, other times I couldn't even boot up if I had it connected.

Those things are dirt cheap now (I get most of them free with rebate) so you might as well replace it.
