Where, specifically, is the pain? Are you overweight?

no, average weight. I'm pretty sure its from stretching too hard, even when im warmed up. But moreso when im not. The pain is just my knee joints area. i cant pinpoint specifically, but its somewhere in the middle/front of the knee, closer to the kneecap than it would be towards the muscles at the rear

see a physiotherapist, get a referral from a doctor if your parents have a health plan that can cover it

I had knee problems in high school and my advice is get it diagnosed ASAP, and fixed through physio exercises if you can

I've always had knee problems, have had 4 or 5 operations on my left knee, then about two weeks ago at the gym I fucked it up again. The physiotherapist I'm going to worked wonders and it's doing alot better now. Going back to see the sergeon in a week and a half, so hopefully it will have healed enough and be better so I wont have to have another operation but who knows.

Trust me, you don't want to live your life with bad knees. I've pretty well gotten used to it, and push it further then I should on a normal basis, but it's not fun.

i take fish oil regularly. What does the physiotherapist do? Massage the back of your knees? Cause im friends with one (free copay) and i go regularly for lower back treatment. I dont really need it half the time, but i think of it as enhancement.

Anything from giving you proper exercises to strengthen it, to ultra sound, to electronic muscle stimulatino, to acupuncture. All sorts of things.

Go buy some glucosamine (w/chondroitin) and also MSM and take them both together religiously. They're both supplements that your body uses to repair joints, but they're not very prevalent in food anymore because it's so processed. I started taking it once after I ripped every tendon & ligament in my knee after a motorcycle accident (some debris went under the kneecap), and it made an incredible difference in my recovery.

I just used Costco's Kirland Signature brand for both. Each bottle was under $20 and they lasted a couple months. I haven't taken either for a while, though, and now I'm getting some signs of arthritis in my knee and my hands.
