    I assume you mean the command dial bearings breaking and freezing it in a given position.

    Nope. My first A2e has the original dial and I've been reasonably careful..but its never given me any trouble over the last couple years. The new A2 has a rebuilt metal-bearing dial that was done early on, supposedly before the original gave any sign of trouble. The owner was planning on using it heavily/professionally and paid for it as an upgrade...but never used it :mamoru:

    The new one has no stop for lock and is tougher to turn..but significantly more solid.

    In my experience, the problem is mostly people being to rough on the thing...I know quite a few people who shoot A2's and never heard of one going bad...though I'm sure canon could have made the thing stronger in the first place too.
