Have some questions about 'junk food'

    I've been trying to eat healthier lately. I've cut out sodas and ice tea and have been drinking mostly water. No more fast food, etc...
    I was wondering about snacks....how much is ok to have? what is ok to have? Obviously candy bars and such are crap but what abuot chips, popcorn, pretzels...is there anything 'junky' that would be ok in moderation?

    pretzels, beef jerky, dried fruit, cheesesticks

    all i can think of at the moment.

    try and stay away from anything that has high fructose corn syrup in it.

    try to keep your carbs as complex as possible (i.e. whole weat bread, oatmeal) if you're trying to lose weight. def. lose the simple sugars, but real fruit is fine.

    im not trying to loose weight, im looking to get healthier and bulk up a bit...

    if you head to your local natural foods/health store you'll find a lot of good snacks

    low fat chocolate snacks, protein snacks, natural potato chips, popcorn, etc.

    Or you can just get a box of protein bars and supplement those as snacks.

    I'd say getting used to the blander tasting snacks is the hurdle here...
