I am getting a free(for me) cell phone through work, and I also have the opportunity to choose whatever Verizon phone I want. I don't need anything too fancy, but Email and bluetooth would be nice. I prefer flips, but if all Verizons flip phones suck then I can settle for a regular one. Post up some pros and cons if you can too.

Its also going to be used in North Jersey, if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance.

Cool...any way you can wait until the Treo 650 comes out? What type of work do you do...Do you need something with strong PDA features?

The v710 is about ready to be retired and replaced. There should be several more bluetooth options within the next month or so, including the LG 8100 which should completely blow away the v710. Its already been loaded into our equipment ordering system at work so its only a matter of time. Unfortunately the pricing hasn't been loaded yet so I can't help you out there.

As far as PDA features go, some basic contact info and calendar stuff would be the mostI would probably ever use. If I really need something more than that I'll just get a PDA. The PDA phones are just too bulky for me.

Any more info on this LG 8100?

I've heard the 3rd week in May, but I haven't seen anything to confirm that yet. It shouldn't be much more than 4 - 6 weeks.
