hauppauge tv card = blue sceen and "no input source"

    installed one of these cards and now have a blue screen overlay with that message on it
    it's over top of everything, so the X can't be used to close a window (well, could if you get lucky and click it)

    removed the card and the screen is still there
    this screen shows up even before the logon (classic) comes up

    the system is xp, all updates

    nothing in start up which would call for this, no unknown or suspect services running at boot or otherwise, no viruses/spyware (not that they could do this)

    hauppauge tech support is clueless, wasted 20 min talking to them


    ideas anyone? odd that i can't find the source of this problem, i'm usually pretty damn good

    Is it a Windows blue screen?

    Can you take a screenshot? Post the error code?

    Can't do a thing unless we know that error says...

    not a bsod, can't take ss

    and i figured it out anyway

    the fool has a LCD with multiple inputs
    it didn't dawn on me that the problem was simple configuration ot disable a secondary input until i saw he had a lcd

    (21" dell, btw :cool:)
