Hey guys, I'm not looking for a critique or ooh ahs -- I don't want anyone choking on a chicken bone, okay ?

I just need some help in picking the strongest images of this set that I've picked out -- or you remember a picture I've taken that was stronger, let me know, just describe it please.

Though the end purpose is in the pursuit of photojournalism, the photos I select here do not have to. I'm looking keep the number down to six or seven and here are a few that I have in mind.

Playing favorites is a bit too easy, and I guess this exercise is a part of moving further into a professional's world.

Let me know which ones you think should definitely go in and which ones do not meet the cut.

If it comes down to it, I don't mind having only four or five pictures -- I have no intention to include a piece that is weak or weaker than the group as a whole.

You may have seen some of these pictures before.

    Thanks,
    hash

Flame me if you feel like it too .

As you can see, these photographs come from a variety of subjects.

I really like all of them, but I'd have to say my favorites are #2, 3, 5, 6, 8 and 9. The wide angle basketball one doesn't really work for me.

one of the most important things ina portfolio is consistancy (sp?) and flow..... I think you should do a sports portfolio, or at least that seams to be the path you are taking,
so then you would have 7 pieces, bu I think you soould have just 2 pictures of the athlete wome instead of 3 of the same shoot. They are all very nice, but be careful with your crop.

if u make it a sports portfolio it will flow.... it'll make sence, instead of making it a 5 piece random picture portfolio

Those are the ones I'd keep.

The volleyball one with the girl in the air is one of your stronger volleyball pictures, but you can't see her face. The general rule of thumb is face/ball for most sports pictures unless something exceptional is happening. The picture is perfectly timed, but it isn't anything extraordinary so I don't think it fits into this exception.

Photojournalist. A sports photographer who covers events fits into this category, but it's a broader spectrum of coverage. :run:

Lol, as much as I enjoy doing some sports photography, a big reason why I did a lot of it was because none of our other photographers seemed to care much about doing it . :hs:
