i present to you the LD10

Lens down pocket clip - check
    Adjustable output - Check
    One click high - check
    1 X AA - check
somewhat of a strike bezel - check

    iiiinteresting.

Biggest issue i have with 99% of flashlights is either lack of a pocket clip or unfriendly lens up carry.

anyone have one of these yet? i think they just revised it with the clip and other features from the old LD10

    < $60

The only other lights I know of that allow for lens down pocket clip carry are the Surefire E1B and I thikn the novatacs but those are all > $130.

A friend of mine in the training industry recently took a trip to Surefire to work on a new design so I'm interested to see where that makes it. I'm sure it will still be ~ $100 though. Not really a big deal if it's quality but I can't see the justification for a $130 E1B right now.

  5. Damn, that is a good deal.

I think it's a good length too. With my PD20 I have just enough lens sticking out between my index and middle finger to work the light with my thumb and still be able to use a good fighting grip on the gun. This one would stick it out a bit further which might give you better bite on the button end as well.

I'm waiting to get one of these http://www.kaidomain.com/ProductDetails.aspx?ProductID=6975

It has 3 modes of programmable brightness or sos, last mode memory, and a setting that will keep you from disharging rechargable cells too far. Although I'm getting it because my weapon lights are all 123s and I like to cycle them out now and then and this would be a good way to burn through the old ones and be sure I'm not tempted to keep them around too long.

Looks like a nice light. I finally replaced my modded Cree L0P the other day with a Maratac SS AAA from Countycomm. Excellent light for a multi mode compact unit. I still carry my Surefire L4/KL1RS (Modded w/ Seoul and reflector) for brighter uses.

My PD20 is perfect, imo, aside from the lack of a pocket clip.

If the surefire group buy doesn't go through I'm ordering one of these. Not sure if it's a forward or reverse click switch though.

in low mode it goes low beam first, then medium, so on
in turbo mode it goes turbo (highest beam) then strobe

That light looks good, I may consider getting one. My PD30 has been in my pocket for almost 2 years, dropped onto concrete and submerged numerous times. I was a bit skeptical of Fenix when I bought mine but so far the light has held up great.
