Bed Bath and Beyond has them for $30 + a $10 off coupon. That's like half off the infomercial price.

    Does it work?

looks like your doorway needs a molding trim around it tho

my old roommate had one and it broke (well the paneling above the door broke) when I used it.

and i was only 180lbs at the time :mamoru:

should be able to find a cheap pullup bar on CL that you can throw into a corner of your place that would work much better.

yeah it snapped off when i was on my 2nd pullup

i believe they make some where you actually bolt it into the area above your door. :dunno:

I have one and have had a 220lb friend use it. I was 205 most the time i used it. Had another friend that was about 275 start to attemp and i told him to GTFO because i didn't like the look of my molding with his weight on it. I'd say if you have decent construction in your house it's not much of an issue... Mine is really cheap fake wood condo trim so I'd expect most anything to hold it pretty well.

I'm pretty nervous whenever i use it which is beneficial imo because i keep really strict form and am careful not to swing.

GF's brother just got one of them, whenever I'm over there I always use it. I love that shit. Seems pretty sturdy, I'm 187 and there are no issues.

haha yup...i went to my friends house last night and used it.

i was making fun of him for trying to dips on it....he responded that you could put in on a box of some sort and then do dips to get more range of motion. so

i said, then couldn't you just do dips on the box without the device.

$20 is a month at a real gym with more than a pullup bar
