52 grams protein per bag
is that kindof high for the sodium?
you're surprised at the sodium?
no I dont think so. Considering those stick packages of pretzels you can buy have over 1000mg
but I guess if your considering eating the whole bag and not just the serving size...(48 servings per container) then it would be...31,200mg of sodium. Am i doing this right? lol.
ok it says serving size is 1oz....the packages you buy are 4oz. Serving size=48? I think thats a typo. or im just really tired. should be 4 servings per bag in which it would only be 2,600mg
something id eat on the go.
sodium is just to keep bacteria from forming.
wtf is with the sodium gestapo on this board
i eat a shitload of sodium and still stay lean.
Anything under 10g a day is fine really
yeah I know. Thats what I ended up saying in that conclusion i had there. lol
That depends on the person, if someone suffers from hypertension/high-blood-pressure they should be careful about their sodium intake.
It's not about staying lean. sodium increases water retention and in turn increases your blood pressure. I don't know about you, but high blood pressure is something I'm not down with.
Anyone know how it actually tastes ? Thats a decent price for beef jerky tho, most of the stores around here are selling it for $5-7/bag
I just bought 500 grams, thats 18oz for 30 Australian dollars.
Except sodium is one of the most carefully controlled minerals by your body. With sufficient water intake and properly functioning kidneys, your body will excrete excess sodium. It's only people who have sodium-sensitivity issues (usually the obese and insulin resistant) who really need to worry about it.
p.s. you don't have much of a powerlifter mentality if you're worrying about blood pressure from excess sodium
whoa, thanks man!
I was just reciting shit I learnt at university. Sadly, If I actually wrote that in a report, I'd probably lose a few grades. Ahh the joys of education.
The only reason I'm concerned with blood pressure is that my mother has a bad history of hypertension and I was borderline hypertension last time I had it tested.
now THIS is water retention!
hahaha he must be on lots of 'creatine'
