save mysql tables + all content

then just edit the config files to point to your new sql host?

it should be pretty straight forward. The most important part is the wp-content folder/database.

So like make the backup of the database via phpmyadmin.

Then you can edit the config file in wp-config.php

define('DB_NAME', 'putyourdbnamehere'); // The name of the database
define('DB_USER', 'usernamehere'); // Your MySQL username
    define('DB_PASSWORD', 'yourpasswordhere'); // ...and password
define('DB_HOST', 'localhost'); // 99% chance you won't need to change this value

just replace with your new database information which you imported

so you go to the actual database.

    then go to export

then on the left select all the fields

    then export type as sql

    check "save as file"

    and choose zip or gzip

    thats about it

in your cp there should be a link to phpmyadmin, like browning said, import the file and it will do the rest magically.

There are plugins you can download and install that do it for you.
