good idea/bad idea?
I never have... if i have the choice i always go new
maybe C & P will have opinions
Bought a refurb R9600 Pro a year ago and its going strong w/ zero problems.
I don't recommend buying refurbished PC parts unless you get a decent X year warranty, which is pretty rare. If you have the cash to go new then by all means do it. If you are on a budget and get a refurbed product and after 3 months and one day when the warranty is void your product craps out you'll kick yourself. Its a toss up, i don't recommend it.
well i was thinking of buying a refubished Radeon 9600. it's not about having the cash, it's just that it's $20 cheaper than the already-cheap new model and figured if it didnt make a difference i should just get a refurb.
i think i might just go for it and try my luck
Stay away from refurb... It's not neweggs fault, but usually the manufacturers miss something in testing... Refurb parts are almost never 100% working.
I never would have gone refurb for only a $20 difference.
