Wow. Check out their 2008 lineup. It's like they are a completely different company. I'm in disbelief that GM is FINALLY getting it right. These vehicles are gorgeous. And will easily be able to compete in their respected segment.

Also, check out this new ad campaign. Going straight for the jugular. The misconception that Americans have of domestic vehicle. Kudos to Lutz for having the balls to give the green light with this ad campaign.

looks like every other car, or suv out there...it's like they took the standard small car, midsize car, etc., and just stuck their ugly Saturn front on there

    compact (delta) vs midsize (epsilon).

I saw the new Outlook yesterday and said to my roommates, thats a nice saturn. Roommate, who has never been a GM fan actually agreed :eek3

the Astra is the only European built Saturn, though it got some of its design cues from the NA designed & built Aura.

rest of the designs were done primarily in North America as well

The Astra is the only one from Europe, the new Vue is a modified Daewoo Winstrom assembled here, the rest are US homegrown.

Actually, it's the other way around. Opel developed the Opel Antara (Saturn Vue). And Daewoo rebadges it as a Daewoo Winstrom.

Also, the 2008 models will be shipped from a plant in Belgium, badged as Saturns.

I though Ramos would be building them from the start

    Let's face it.

Every single person in here would be embarassed to drive a Saturn prior to these models. These are pretty damn nice. What do you expect? It's fucking Saturn. It's not going to be a Benz or a Bimmer. It's a Saturn. But they did something right. When I mean something right I mean I wouldn't be embarassed to be seen in one.

They all look disgusting. The only Saturn I would consider driving would be an ION Redline.

Whats wrong with a car being designed internationally? Hell, even being built internationally?

Everyone is happy to pay for the import fee's of BMW & Acura. If the '08 Saturns are up to par, then who cares where they are made, GM is a multinational corporation anyway.

The new Saturns make me wish I hadn't bought an IS300.

People should be rejoicing, GONE are the days of the American fleet-rental car, here are cars that don't have 'plastic' interiors. But I suppose most on OT would bitch at owning a Z06 over a 911 Turbo, just because Helga didn't hand-stitch the steering wheel with thread made from the ass-hairs of Bavarian Alpine rabbits.

These cars look AMAZING compared to the Saturns of the past. Example:

    Bravo for GM.
