No, they were imported, though not very many. A friend of mine just got hers and her boyfriend has one too. I get to drive my friend's at the next autocross our car club goes to.

They're not all that hard to find if you know where to look. I know that there's only about 5 registered in Florida.

wow all i have to say is alltrac.net

there are quite a few of each generation of alltracs/gtfours in america. 4th gen alltracs were in the 3000 range if i remember, 5th gen were ~2500 if i remember right. 6th gen gtfours were never sold here, but of course have been imported. I can name probably about 20 fine examples in america and im sure there are more.

for a celica? please, they were WRC dominant.
3S-GTE is a bad motherfucker. Engine bay is hella cramped, though.
In my opinion, the last of the cool celicas.

You're not kiding me. There's also no way to put in a front mount intercooler without gutting the front bumper.

Totally badass car. Not the fastest, not the best, the THE anything.....but, man, for an all-round kick ass ride, nothing wrong with this choice. The last generation models in the US are not street legal.....but that wouldn't necessarily stop me from wanting to buy one.

the 205s are really quick, mid 13s bone stock, with a few small tweaks they could easily do 12s on the stock turbo. My car (an 88) did a 13.9 on the bone stock motor/turbo with a chopped off exhaust and 15psi (stock is 8psi) this was with the last owner. The motor eventually blew up and then i stepped in and bought it after it sat for a while. I put in a 91 jdm motor and added alot of goodies and now it should be doing low 12s/11s next summer with some luck!

gutting the front bumper to put a fmic??? dunno who youve been talking to, on my 88 i put one in with out any problems, i removed the foglights though to provide better air flow. on st185s i know there is no problems when using the RC bumper also.

    o'well though

200 hp stock, but like I said has the potential to make a lot of power.

Japanese sports cars always come detuned with a lot of potential. My Skyline wasn;t that fast when I bought it but it responded well to upgrades. Its no different than the GT4. Never raced one but the ones I did see out at night were fast.

Well, owning a car in the UK is expensive anyway and when you buy a grey with no parts support....whew, you looking at some real money.

At least in the US there are quite a few MkII MR2 Turbo's which happen to have the same engine, so there are parts for the engine at least.

My cousin has one, it's white and RHD. He has done a few mods to it. His best time was a 13.4 in a 1/4. It's in St. Lucia.

Badass cars, I was looking for an AWD car, hoping to find a awd celica, but later fell in love with DSMs
