    ok so i have these spots appear in some of my images..usually the night ones...here is an example in this picture:

    main image resized so its hard to see them

    here is a clipout from the main image...down by the bottom yellow circle

    and here is what one of those little fuckers looks like zoomed in on photoshop

    WTFUCK is goin on here? i have a coolpix 5700 if that makes a difference
    edit..obviously for the web they arent a huge problem because when i resize them the dots go somewhat away..but for printing i dont like it because i have to go manually get those guys outta there

    its called a HOT PIXEL

    it happens when you do long exposures, basically 1 pixel on the CCD or CMOS chip gets "HOT" and makes that happen

    it even happens on expensive DSLRs, one of the issues with long exposures adn digital photo

    you can remove them with a frame subtraction in photoshop or whatever

    thanks guys...i had no idea..i guess i can just use some noise reduction or something..that was taken in the summer so i guess its hotter...how is the canon rebel or 20d with those things/noise?
