The ones Ive seen at sports stores are either wobbly or too expensive. Did a search on how to build one and not much came up.

My bro has had a bag for over a year and it sits in my room since I'm away from school.

Time to put that thing on a f-ing stand :o

I wouldn't make one out of a wood frame, so unless you have welding experience, I personally wouldn't try to make one.

Just copy a design from a store-bought one, then just reinforce it a crapload more to make it more stable :dunno:

Yup and put a rod on the ends to stack plates to weigh it down a freind welded some onto one and put a couple of 45's on it and it was like a whole new stand.

Weight pegs, not all stands have em, they help, that's what I was trying to say. If you STILL dont know what im talking about look at any of the over priced stands and look for the pegs at the base, which are nothing more than welded on 1.25" steel tube rods.

This one costs $2300. I can do something like this but it wont use bolts and wont use as thick of tubed steel.

Do you live in a house or apartment building?

If you live in a house then just find a support beam in the lowest level and hang it in there. Trust me, hanging bag > *
