Sent my application in October 08 and just found out now they rejected my application b/c I need to get my fingerprints redone :ugh2: I had them done by a police officer why would they reject that? This is fucking bullshit  anyone know if I'm going to have to wait another 5-6 months to find out if it goes thru this time?

    4 months is not 5-6. :o

and yes, the entire reapplication process will have to be done.

chances are the prints were rejected by fbi or batfe or whoever they are sent to. they have to be perfect.

btw, my prints were reversed (left on right and vice versa). that could prove interesting in the future.

fuck, when I got printed for my DoD CAC, they had hte digital scanner. It was the one time of the year my hand eczema acts up. So they couldn't get a print for shit. They got one hand, then the girl doing them used her own hand for the rest

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU  I don't need to pay the application fee again though right? I got my prints done the old fashoned way they looked fine to me and the cop doing it was a 25 year vet so he was no rookie at this.

Prints can always get rejected Happens more often than you might think. That said I am impressed by livescan, if a print would be rejected it won't accept it.

I talked to the guy that ran the class I took he said sometimes they'll just randomly reject an application if they see bunch come in at the same time from the same location, don't know how true that is but they'll do my fingerprints again for free if its rejected

Sounds made up. FL is shall issue. They'd be opening themselves up to a lawsuit if they denied an application without just cause.

Ink prints get smudged, it's fairly common. You don't have to repay the fee. It will delay it quite a bit, the bulk of the wait is them waiting to hear from the FBI on the print results.

Get multiple print cards, and have them print you 3 or 4 times, include them in the packet. Since you are applying out of state, I don't think a scan is an option for you, it must be on a print card.

i had mine rejected, you dont need to resend the application, just the letter they sent to you with the new fingerprints. and it took 3 months to get it signed off when the standard wait was 3 weeks so expect to wait.

If you're close enough you can drive to an FL office and get scanned but he's a bit far.
