did it during a 400m sprint once...f'n hurt.

achillies (tear) & groin pulls were both worse though.

as for how long? depends on how bad you've done it.. I was out for at least 4 weeks on a hamstring pull, while seeing a physiotherapist twice a week for the first week and once a week after.

I partially tore my hammy in high school. The bball coach was mad that we weren't ready for practice so he made us do wind sprints first thing, felt like someone karate chopped the back of my leg when it went.

My good friend partially tore his achillies tendon doing windsprints...

He had his right leg back and planted. As soon as he pushed off that right leg, he said it felt like someone kicked him in the back of his ankle with a steel toed' boot, he went to turn around and fucking scream at someone, but no one was there :mamoru:..

pulled a hamstring 2 weeks ago .. was a little tight yesterday when it was muggy and raining like shit out here ..

.. takes a while to get it back to 100% .. but after about 4-5 days of not really stressing it .. i was doing light leg curls and squat exercises .. LIGHT weight .. short sets .. and it was fine .. just stretched it out a lil more than I would have before i went it .... i ran 4 years of college track .. and never really had an issue with it before ... its cause i didnt stretch it and was goofin' around like an idiot ..

    i had a full tear.
    ill post the pic sometime.
it happened 7 years ago. tore from my ass and coiled down by the back of my knee. i have ~10-20% of my hamstring left.

the swelling was really bad so they didnt think it was a bad tear at first.
a week later after the swelling went down and they realized how severe it was. then they said it was too late to staple it back to my ass. so i was out of sports for the better part of a year.
