I actually watched it last night, it was ok. Not as good as the ones with Tony Jaa. Too many lady boys / lady dudes for my tastes. Though the girl that played the lead did all her own stunts, and the outakes / behind the scenes was better than the rest of the movie.

It was a limited release in the US (theatres) and I guess went straight to DVD instead of opening wide.

Yeah, seen it, it wasnt as good as my early expectations. Some good action scenes and probably worth seeing but not the awesomefest I had been led to believe it would be. I agree 100% w/ Spectatorsport.

Just watched it. It was okay. As stated early, too many ladyboys. But, it's filmed in Thailand so what do you expect.

Yep saw it at the Toronto FIlm Festival it was really good. The director of the movie seems like a nice guy after the Q/A. I saw ong bak at the Film Festival as well.

    repost.

Anyways, it sucked. A little girl kicking ass? Completely unrealistic (from a fighting standpoint).

She had some sweet kicks. I really enjoyed the movie although I'm sure Thailand has some more attractive Ladyboy's though jesus christ :barf:. The action was well put together even if the story was going nowhere. The bloopers are awesome though, she gets a nice kick to the face from that other chick. One of my favorite Japanese Actors aside from Takeshi Kitano is Hiroshi Abe, although he really seemed out of place here.

I saw it last year. Pretty good flick. People say shes the the female version of Tony Jaa. Im trying to get a copy of Ong Bak 2. Anyone seen that one yet?

Also, for anyone who is looking for a asian dvd torrent site:
    http://asiandvdclub.org/

    I would reccommend:
    dragon tiger gate
    drunken master
    legend of the drunken master

Ong Bak 2 should have just stayed a concept . They fuckin butchered the North American one thinking that we wouldn't understand their culture. I don't get what's so hard to understand, but some producer somewhere must have gotten confused. There are a ton of quality movies coming out of asia, but hollywood thinks they can just fuckin remake it....
