Order of the Phoenix was my favorite, because it wasn't all happy and convenient. Bad stuff happened, and it ended badly. It was more exciting and more real.

But I'll definitely be seeing Goblet of Fire.

Goblet of Fire was done pretty well. I give it a B+. My big mistake was rereading the book right before the movie. I was upset with how much they cut out.
Hopefully the DVD will be an extended cut.

BTW, the maze and lake scenes were much more scary in the movie.

This movie kicked ass. Definitely my favorite out of the 4. That goes for the books as well.

I thought the movie was fucking terrible. It was a really bad adaption of the book. They changed the entire story cut out over 10 characters and had little to no character development whatsoever. The acting by many of the people in the movie was mediocre at best, the scene cuts are abrupt and nearly amateur, the material that was cutout ruined the entire movie, and they changed the fuck story.

How can you cut out Dobby, Winky, Pearcy, Bill, Charlie, Mrs. Weasley, and others to make it a good depiction of the movie? I understand they needed to cut material to make it a shorter length but to change the fucking story is unacceptable.

This is by far the worst of the 4 HP movies as far as adaption goes. They cut materials in the other movies but none of it changed the entire story. I give it a big fat F. I stayed up to go to the midnight showing and left the theater pissed off I wasted my money and time. I want my 2 1/2 hours and my $8 back.

I hope to hell they release an extended version with more explanation because this movie is a worthless piece of shit.

As a stand alone movie, it was fucking awsome.
As a part of a huge series that has books behind them, it was garbage.

    Arguable.

The director's job is to bring his vision of the material to screen. Not the original author's. If you want the original author's, read the fucking books.

Now, assuming you did that, in terms of building the narrartive of the films in correspondence to the books, I'd say this did the best job of all the films thus far.

The director was selfish for ignoring the fact that this is a series.

I would say for covering the largest book in the series thus far, he did a fine job. He took liberties I may not have totally endorsed, but he gave me the whole film and faught the studios for the right to keep it all into one movie so we wouldn't have Kill Bill all over again.

You didnt realize anything was cut? Do you not comprehend books as you read them. HE CHANGED THE FUCKING STORY DUMBASS!

The directors job isnt to make a new story but to adapt the book into a movie. His art comes with the visuals, the story is already there, he just has to stick to it which he failed.

If someone were not to read the books they werent understand the true story. They cut out over 10 characters and multiple subplots.

We arent talking about one detail but about half the book. He did a terrible job, the story should never be changed, plain and simple.
